• Will our production stop while you migrate or modernize our systems?

  No. We plan the whole project around keeping your lines running. The new system runs alongside the old one, we switch over one module or plant at a time, and every step has a rollback plan. Cutovers are scheduled around your shifts and maintenance windows.

• We run SAP, Oracle, or Odoo. Do we have to replace it?

  Usually not. We can build around your existing ERP and connect through its standard interfaces. For a battery manufacturer, we tied a custom CRM into their SAP system, so sales reps could see live orders, stock, and outstanding payments without changing SAP itself.

• Our machines are old and have no APIs. Can they still be connected?

  Often, yes. Older equipment can usually be reached through PLC data, edge gateways, or protocols like OPC UA, MQTT, or Modbus, depending on the machine. We check what each one supports during discovery and tell you plainly which are worth connecting and which aren’t.

• How much does a manufacturing software project cost?

  It depends on scope, the number of integrations and plants, and how much legacy data has to move. We work on fixed-scope, dedicated team, or time-and-material models. After discovery, you get a written estimate with the assumptions listed, so you know what’s included before you commit.

• Who owns the code and the data when the project is done?

  You do. Source code and IP ownership are written into the contract, and your production data stays yours from start to finish.

• How do you keep our shop-floor data secure?

  We use role-based access and encrypt data in storage and in transit. SPEC INDIA is ISO 27001:2022 certified, and we sign an NDA before any detailed discussion. For plant networks, we keep operational systems separated from IT systems, in line with IEC 62443 principles.
